Cyberpunk 2077 news and features
If you were one of the lucky people to attend E3 2019 then you would have got the chance to see the Cyberpunk 2077 demo focused around Pacifica – the southern-most region of Night City. You would have also seen Keanu Reeves’ character, Johny Silverhand. Unfortunately, we weren’t one of those people, so we had to catch it all on YouTube afterwards. Life just isn’t fair sometimes.
The Cyberpunk 2077 world features 2 gangs – The Animals and The Voodoo Boys. Both gangs are constantly battling against each other for supremacy. Your aim is to meet with Bridgitte, the head of The Voodoo Boys, but in order to even get close to her, you first must deal with her lieutenant Placide, who wants you to infiltrate The Animals’ hideout. You are instructed to get yourself into the hideout and locate a high-tech van that is monitoring all the network traffic in Pacifica. Sound easy? Well, we thought so too, but it gets a bit more complicated than just killing a couple of gang members and escaping with the prize.
In order to reach the van, you will have to make your way past The Animals’ crew. Want to know the reason why they are called The Animals? And no, it is not because they are all half animal and half human, or because they just love animals, don’t be silly. They are called The Animals because they take a drug that enhances their muscle mass. So, to get past them you can either fight your way through or sneak your way into their hideout. We know which option we would take… FIGHT!! Only joking, that would be stupid, completely unprofessional and not at all tactical. Remember, we want to impress Bridgitte so we can get close to her, not make a mess and get ourselves killed. But of course, it is your decision, we can only advise.
Customisation: perks, skills and attributes
Everyone loves a game when you can customise the hell out of your character, right? Well if you are one of those people then it is safe to say you are going to fall in love with Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll be able to customise your characters look, their backstory, their base skins, and pick perks that will make them who they are in the Cyberpunk 2077 world. If you dream about playing as an expert hacker who can take control of enemy equipment to help you win your battles, then you can make it happen. If you are obsessed with ninjas and want to create a stealthy character who is highly skilled at taking down enemies, and impresses the ladies with impressive hand-to-hand combat skills, then you can make that happen too. We’re not joking here; the customisation options are pretty damn insane.
However, even though the options available are vast, they’re not completely limitless. Sorry, we didn’t want you walking away after reading this article thinking you can create a character in the form of a pig and go flying around Night City. I mean can you imagine a game that would let you have that level of character customisation options, that would be epic. Anyway, CD Projekt Red made the decision to add so many customisation options to the game as they didn’t want to restrict players to a single play style or path. That is epic enough for us!
The perks screen was shown during the demo and it had more than 20 perks on display to choose from and level up. These perks impact how your character plays, but they also determine what choices you have in conversations with the world’s NPCs.
E3 2018 confirmed features
After watching plenty of Cyberpunk 2077 content from E3 and reading all the other articles out there, we have discovered some interesting things about this brilliant game.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person RPG set in a massive open world that is known as Night City. The city is split up into six districts, with each offering a different environment for you to explore. The demo revealed a small section of one of these districts.
You as the player can create your own character to explore Night City with. Your character goes by the name of V and you are on a journey to crawl up from the criminal underbelly.
The game lets you transform your body with various bits of tech, and you have the option to take drugs to enhance your combat. We know that the weapons in the game are seriously creative, the sort of weapons you will get excited to use every time you go to blast some poor guy’s head off. Not that there is anything wrong with that of course.
The story is a huge part of Cyberpunk 2077, with choices you make throughout the game determining the outcome.
It could be on the next generation of consoles
Worried you will delve deep into the Cyberpunk 2077 world and then the next generation of 4k consoles will be released and you won’t be able to continue your journey on your new piece of hardware? Well, you might just be able to stop worrying as CD Projekt has hinted that Cyberpunk 2077 could well be developed for both current and next-gen consoles.
As the game is due to launch on April 16th, 2020, it is likely we could see a dual launch of the game for both current and next-gen consoles.
There may be multiplayer
It is no secret that there will be multiplayer elements in Cyberpunk 2077 as it was confirmed years ago. However, it has been said that the game will be mainly focused on single player.
There will be online
CD Projekt’s CEO has confirmed that there will also be online elements to the game. In an interview with the polish tech website Strefa Inwestorow, Kiciński stated that “Online is necessary, or very recommended if you wish to achieve long-term success. At some point, we have mentioned that there will be a certain online element related to Cyberpunk.” In our opinion that is something to get excited about!

Summary
Overall there is a lot to get hyped up about for the upcoming release of Cyberpunk 2077. The vast choice of character customisation options combined with the storyline that will be affected depending on the decisions you make throughout your Cyberpunk 2077 journey will surely keep players intrigued to find out all the different outcomes available.
Also, there is huge potential with the online multiplayer side of the game to look forward to. Due to the massive open world, there is a possibility we could see something like the GTA V online world take over Night City. However, this is only something we would like to see, and nothing has been confirmed by CD Projekt.
We believe Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an extremely popular release when it launches on April 16th, 2020, and we look forward to seeing what other information is released in the future.
